Well hey there. :) As a lot of kids my age (I am thirteen right now, turning fourteen on October thirteenth) my mom is strict on the piercings I get right now and I can not explain to her how cute it will work or anything. So I always have to do them myself. I use to be able to pierce anything on my body but lately I have not had all that much guts so when I do pierce things on me, it's not some stupid thing I've just thought I'd do. I look up a lot before I ...

I'm the worlds biggest cry-baby... About two months after getting my tongue pierced, I decided it was time for another piercing. My tongue went so well, and I love it, but it's kinda lonely. This time I decided to talk it over with my Mum because she kind of flipped out about my tongue. The only problem is that she's really old-fashioned (she was upset after finding out I had my ears pierced a second time) and didn't want me to get any more piercings. I did the whole "Oh, but if I don't like it anymore I can always ...

I have been fascinated by stretched ears ever since the first time I laid eyes on them. I saw them on myspace and bme, but for a while almost strictly on the internet. It wasn't until about a year or two ago that I began seeing people that I knew that had started stretching their ears, my small home city of Oneida isn't exactly known for it's diversity. I decided about a year ago that I would begin stretching my own ears, I had wanted them for myself ever since I first saw them. I had my ears pierced when ...

Alright, so I was 14. I had only my lobes pierced twice each, and a cartilage on my left ear. It was my 15th birthday and I was jealous that my sister had gotten her belly button pierced. I was really impressed by the clean studio I went to, Wicked Tattooz in Minerva Ohio, that I had my mom take me there to get a tragus. Well, before hand, I had always wanted a tragus ever since I saw one on a girl that my sister was friends with. I asked her if she was ever afraid that it was ...

My husband asked what I wanted for my 23rd birthday and I quickly answered, "a new piercing". It had been a while and I was getting that familiar itch. I found and fell in love with the transverse lobe piercings, but alas it was not to be. To get the transverse lobes, I would have to give up my traditional lobe piercings and I was not ready to part with them. So my hunt for something else began. I wanted something not everyone has like rook or a helix. I already have my left tragus so that was out. I ...

Hi All ~ In June 2008 I decided that I had to get my nose pierced. That was the only piercing I wanted to get so once it was done I would be happy. Right. Well I went and got my nose pierced by Stephanie at Sacred Heart Tattoo and Piercing in Vancouver, BC, and I absolutely love it. You can read about that story in BME under the heading Fear into Joy a piercing experience, June 2008 section. Suffice it to say that it was a very good experience. She is amazing. The research I had done on ...

I have always felt very strongly about being my own person, and doing whatever that entails in my mind. Moving from a small town to Toronto in order to go to art school not only helped me grow as a person, but also feel more comfortable in my growths- until I could not imagine being anything else than what I am today. This is, in my mind, the biggest highlight for any serious person getting any sort of body modification: you just know, innately, that this is the right thing to do, and you can't imagine not doing it. For ...

Okay, so I've never, ever, EVER considered EVER going to a mall piercer before. I KNOW it's stupid, and I KNOW that it probably won't end well... however, KNOWING all of this, I still made the stupid and went and got punctured at Cosmetics Plus. Please don't judge, I'm adding this as an account of a piercing gone wrong. I have five piercings - used to be six, but I retired my labret - and all of them were done in a highly professional studio here in Cairns. I LOVE Cairns Tattoo and Body Piercing. They know their stuff, truly. ...

Before I begin, here is a little about myself. My name is Kaitlin and I am sixteen. My lobes are at 5/8g and I still have not yet completed all the body modifications I desire. I plan on stretching up to 1 inch and beyond, and piercing my own septum. I come from a town full of walking cliches, awful trends and all around normality. Those circumstances do not really influence most people to consider body modification. In my case, I hate the idea of conformity. I am completely fascinated with body modification, but it was not always like that. ...

So, I'd wanted a new piercing in my ear for a while and started looking around at what I could have done. I already had a horizontal tragus in my left ear, and an industrial, and at first I was toying with a conch but then I came across the vertical tragus on BME and I knew I had to have it in my right, as I really love vertical piercings! I have vertically pierced nipples and I like the way the vertical tragus sits in the ear with the balls at the top and bottom, so I contacted a ...
