10G Lobe Piercings.

Like pretty much everyone else out there, I got my lobes gunned at the mall as a kid when I decided I wanted them pierced. The traumatic nature of the procedure combined with the horrible aftercare instructions and low-quality jewelry did not make my ears very happy; I had the piercings (and a second set later) for about five years and they never healed. They were constantly extremely irritated, which I didn't feel like dealing with, so I retired them. I stupidly tried to re-pierce them myself several times, but always ended up taking them out a day later because ... read more

Ready to slice yer ear open ‘en?

So after much complaining, dreaming, wishing, discussion and thought, I finally went to get my lobe scalpelled. Figured this is the first vaguely interesting procedure I've undergone so it might be worth a write up History; About two years ago I decided I wanted stretched earlobes, I knew I needed a pierced lobe for this and I had a retired lobe piercing, one day I was discussing the idea with my girlfriend and we jammed a butterfly back stud in there, probably a silly idea but I was stupid and in a hurry. I didn't notice at the time that ... read more

Painful but worth it

Let me start by saying I don't recommend doing what I did to stretch my ears, it was stupid and dangerous. I was about 14 when I first got my ears pierced with the one intention of stretching them, but I was oblivious to the right methods to stretching, and where to start. I began with asking my sister who thought it was a great idea, she also helped heavily in my decision for tattoos and piercings. Starting with a big mistake, I got them pierced with a piercing gun at the mall. Knowing what I know now I wish ... read more

Pain for pleasure

Well I've wanted my tragus pierced for quite a while. Probably since before I got my nose done 2 months ago. So this weekend I went out to get a tattoo and being only 17 I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to find anywhere to have one done. So I decided that seen as my friend was having her belly pierced I may aswell get it done. So no tattoo = Tragus piercing. We wandered around manchester for about and hour or so and couldn't find anywhere to tattoo me. So we headed to Holier Than Thou to ... read more

My temperamental rook

When I decided to get my rook, it had been 5 months since my last piercing. I personally like to wait awhile between piercings to give them time to heal, and rightfully so as they usually give me trouble somewhere down the road. However, I had been planning it for a couple months so I was getting impatient. As a Christmas present to myself I decided to get my rook done. At this point, no one I knew at my school or anywhere else had one, so I liked that it wasn't so common. (Of course after I got mine ... read more

My New Vertical Tragus

After getting my scaffold in February I really wanted a piercing that not many people had, having looked on the internet and various piercing I came across the 'Vertical Tragus' and instantly fell in love with it! I looked up as much information for it as I could find (which weren't much) I decided I was going to get it done. I was pretty much really scared of getting this but I wasn't going to let that stop me! It was the 29th of September and it was the day I was going to get my vertical tragus after waiting ... read more

my beautiful daith piercing!

About two months ago I decided that I really wanted another piercing. Many of my friends had been getting new piercings, one of my best friends getting her tongue and the other her belly. They had both tried to persuade me to come and get matching piercings with them but I knew I didn't want to get something that I wasn't going to be in love with. I have my ear lobes pierced, and an upper cartilage piercing as well as my nose and nipple, all of which I had waited a while until I knew I really wanted them ... read more

Looks like a mini cartilage burger!

A few years ago (6 years, to be precise), after weeks of consideration, I finally decided to muster up the courage to ask my piercer if he would dermal punch the cartilage of my left ear. I've had my fair share of piercings, however they have always been small gauge. The largest I had was my navel, which had been pierced at 10ga and which was very intense. I was enamored by the idea of having a large gauge conch piercing but didn't want to go through the stretching process in cartilage. A dermal punch was the option, but it ... read more

Ear Stretching in progress, currently at 1/2"

Hello, my name is Jeff, I go by Ka on BME. Awesome introduction, right? Well for starters, the topic of this experience is ear stretching, my ear stretching to be exact. I am writing this experience for a multitude of reasons; one being, I feel as though BME has provided me with so much in my path to becoming what I want to be, and I feel the need to return the favor to others seeking similar information. And second; I need more time for my account. I began my modification journey in seventh grade. I got my ears pierced ... read more

The life death and rebirth of my industrial

I was sort of a late bloomer in terms of piercing among my friends, most of whom started getting pierced and quickly ruining their lobes in around 2005. After a bad breakup, at the beginning of my senior year in high school, I decided to get one of my lobes pierced. And the obsession began, I got my other lobe, started slowly stretching them, got a couple of other random cartilage piercings, and finally my industrial. I first decided to get my industrial pierced over 2 years ago, in the initial piercing craze I went through mentioned earlier. I first ... read more
