scaffold piercing.

Having heard so many horror stories about industrial/scaffold piercings, I was reluctant to get it done, even though I had my heart set on it. I researched the hell out of it, and found hundreds of people complaining that it was a notoriously painful piercing, and a notorious bleeder. Finally, two days ago (3/10/09) I finally plucked up the courage to get it done :) Picking a piercing studio was a no brainer for me; I went straight to Blue Banana in Coventry, as they had pierced me before. I was aware that Blue Banana was sometimes said to be ... read more

10G Lobe Piercings.

Like pretty much everyone else out there, I got my lobes gunned at the mall as a kid when I decided I wanted them pierced. The traumatic nature of the procedure combined with the horrible aftercare instructions and low-quality jewelry did not make my ears very happy; I had the piercings (and a second set later) for about five years and they never healed. They were constantly extremely irritated, which I didn't feel like dealing with, so I retired them. I stupidly tried to re-pierce them myself several times, but always ended up taking them out a day later because ... read more

Ready to slice yer ear open ‘en?

So after much complaining, dreaming, wishing, discussion and thought, I finally went to get my lobe scalpelled. Figured this is the first vaguely interesting procedure I've undergone so it might be worth a write up History; About two years ago I decided I wanted stretched earlobes, I knew I needed a pierced lobe for this and I had a retired lobe piercing, one day I was discussing the idea with my girlfriend and we jammed a butterfly back stud in there, probably a silly idea but I was stupid and in a hurry. I didn't notice at the time that ... read more

Painful but worth it

Let me start by saying I don't recommend doing what I did to stretch my ears, it was stupid and dangerous. I was about 14 when I first got my ears pierced with the one intention of stretching them, but I was oblivious to the right methods to stretching, and where to start. I began with asking my sister who thought it was a great idea, she also helped heavily in my decision for tattoos and piercings. Starting with a big mistake, I got them pierced with a piercing gun at the mall. Knowing what I know now I wish ... read more

Pain for pleasure

Well I've wanted my tragus pierced for quite a while. Probably since before I got my nose done 2 months ago. So this weekend I went out to get a tattoo and being only 17 I had a feeling I wouldn't be able to find anywhere to have one done. So I decided that seen as my friend was having her belly pierced I may aswell get it done. So no tattoo = Tragus piercing. We wandered around manchester for about and hour or so and couldn't find anywhere to tattoo me. So we headed to Holier Than Thou to ... read more

My temperamental rook

When I decided to get my rook, it had been 5 months since my last piercing. I personally like to wait awhile between piercings to give them time to heal, and rightfully so as they usually give me trouble somewhere down the road. However, I had been planning it for a couple months so I was getting impatient. As a Christmas present to myself I decided to get my rook done. At this point, no one I knew at my school or anywhere else had one, so I liked that it wasn't so common. (Of course after I got mine ... read more

My New Vertical Tragus

After getting my scaffold in February I really wanted a piercing that not many people had, having looked on the internet and various piercing I came across the 'Vertical Tragus' and instantly fell in love with it! I looked up as much information for it as I could find (which weren't much) I decided I was going to get it done. I was pretty much really scared of getting this but I wasn't going to let that stop me! It was the 29th of September and it was the day I was going to get my vertical tragus after waiting ... read more

My Industrial Experience!

Back in august i started to really consider getting an industrial piercing. For about a month i was doing research all over the web. I really wanted to get all of the details so I knew what I was getting myself into. In almost every story i read the person talked about how painful this piercing was and how much pain they were in after they got it. After reading all of this I had second thoughts, I really didn't know if I could handle the pain. But the more I looked at pictures, the more I really wanted the ... read more

My Ear Lobe Stretching Journey.

I can not remember the exact date when I first got my ear lobes pierced, although I do remembering being a sophomore in High School and having a 12 inch mo-hawk. I did not know much about body modification at the time. In fact I didn't even have a single piercing. To be honest I am not sure where I got the idea, I guess it just seemed like the thing to do. I had initial plans of stretching my ears to a 4 gauge. At the time I was not of legal age so I had to ask my ... read more

Inner Conch Dermal Punches—2g

The first time I can remember seeing a large-gauge inner conch piercing was on the piercer who did my lobes about four months ago. It was a red glass plug, probably 4g, and my only thought was that it must have hurt to get a piercing right there. My lobes were my first piercings, so the conches were to be my second. Fast forward to two days ago: I arrive at the piercing parlor with a trusty friend, who was nice enough to drive us two hours to get there since no local shop did dermal punching. Alex was the ... read more
