Inner left conch

I had gotten both of my conches done before, and both I had taken both out due to scarring on the back. However after thinking for a while I decided to just go ahead and try it again. Living in NYC there are a bunch of small parlors that seem a little sketchy, but so cheap. I was down near 6th ave earlier today when I saw a parlor that I had walked by numerous times before. It is a pretty modern looking shop, clean and I have usually seen a person or two in there. I went in, waited ... read more

Two Industrials in Same Ear

When I was a bit younger, 3 years ago to be exact, I got an industrial piercing on my right ear as a whim. At this point I didn't really know a lot about industrials and the piercer had positioned the piercing a little too high in my ear. That has been one thing that bugged me in the back of my head all this time but otherwise I love love love my first industrial. So fast forward to present day... Now I'm in college and I'm seeing all these people with industrial piercings just like mine. I wanted to ... read more

Industrialized

Ahh, the saga of my industrial. This is a story that isn't particularly interesting, as my ear hasn't turned green and fallen off—but it was a grand experience for me, and hopefully, other people can have as pleasant an experience as my own. I've wanted an industrial for, oh I don't know, ages. I've always found that they're piercings that can be a bit different, yet not completely wild. Living in a culture where self expression and body modification is usually discouraged, I figured that an industrial would be the perfect piercing for me. I was fifteen when I first ... read more

Traig-ass.

My desire to have a tragus piercing had been bugging me for quite a while. As with every piercing I have had, I like to think about it for a while, wince and squirm at the thought of the impending pain, then finally, get it done on a whim. And that's exactly what had happened when I decided to get a tragus piercing. One day my boyfriend and I were in the city, doing some shopping and getting a bite to eat, generally having a good time. The whole day I was toying with the idea of getting a new ... read more

He cut me.

It took me a lot of thought and consideration to decide that I would like to have my earlobe piercings scalpelled to a larger gauge. I now understand that scalpelling lobes to a higher gauge is something many people in our body modification community find difficult to tolerate, but as usual, I choose the way I carry things out. I have been stretching my lobe holes on & off for a number of years, with down-sizing in between, to build up the tissue & keep them nice & elastic, plenty of oil massages & love, even some swearing, begging & ... read more

The saga of a conch

I graduated in the summer from uni and decided to reward myself with a piercing ( I did this for my GCSE's – upper helix and A levels – Tongue) and after four years worth of study it was time for another one, so I decided to get my conch done as it was the next piercing I wanted to add to the collection. Nice and early on a Saturday morning I headed down to the studio because most people aren't out of their beds then and there's much less of a wait time for just coming in of the ... read more

Fate was good to me - Double conch at last!

My first piercing happened at the age of 11 -- my mom pierced my ears with an at-home piercing kit. I had always told myself that I would never go crazy and get anything else done. Then a year ago I started with getting my lip pierced on the right side, and the piercing bug definitely bit. The lip, three cartilage, another set of lobes, and the tongue all got pierced within one year, but those are all other stories. I had planned on getting an orbital on my upper right ear and then a helix half-way up on the ... read more

Story of a failed cartilage piercing

I was at the point in my life where I had just left home and wanted to do something that I would not normally have been allowed to have done if I had still lived at home. I decided to get my cartilage pierced after just having second holes in my ears. A lot of girls at university had them and I liked the way that they looked. I chose to have the piercing at a clothing store that also does professional body piercing. I had heard a lot of good things about them so knew it was the place ... read more

DIY Lobe (Anti-Slip piercing)

My Second DIY Experience (on ME this time!) I say second DIY experience, though technically didn't do this COMPLETELY by myself... So it's been a few months since my last piercing, a Christina done three months ago just before my Graduation. I'm looking in the mirror admiring my recent stretching success and missing my recently departed transverse lobes and I think, cant I have something to replace them? Now Ive got pretty fleshy lobes as it is but I've decided I don't want to stretch my bottom or second holes anymore than I already have. I notice that there's quite ... read more

Inner Conch Dermal Punches—2g

The first time I can remember seeing a large-gauge inner conch piercing was on the piercer who did my lobes about four months ago. It was a red glass plug, probably 4g, and my only thought was that it must have hurt to get a piercing right there. My lobes were my first piercings, so the conches were to be my second. Fast forward to two days ago: I arrive at the piercing parlor with a trusty friend, who was nice enough to drive us two hours to get there since no local shop did dermal punching. Alex was the ... read more
