He cut me.

It took me a lot of thought and consideration to decide that I would like to have my earlobe piercings scalpelled to a larger gauge. I now understand that scalpelling lobes to a higher gauge is something many people in our body modification community find difficult to tolerate, but as usual, I choose the way I carry things out. I have been stretching my lobe holes on & off for a number of years, with down-sizing in between, to build up the tissue & keep them nice & elastic, plenty of oil massages & love, even some swearing, begging & ... read more

The saga of a conch

I graduated in the summer from uni and decided to reward myself with a piercing ( I did this for my GCSE's – upper helix and A levels – Tongue) and after four years worth of study it was time for another one, so I decided to get my conch done as it was the next piercing I wanted to add to the collection. Nice and early on a Saturday morning I headed down to the studio because most people aren't out of their beds then and there's much less of a wait time for just coming in of the ... read more

Fate was good to me - Double conch at last!

My first piercing happened at the age of 11 -- my mom pierced my ears with an at-home piercing kit. I had always told myself that I would never go crazy and get anything else done. Then a year ago I started with getting my lip pierced on the right side, and the piercing bug definitely bit. The lip, three cartilage, another set of lobes, and the tongue all got pierced within one year, but those are all other stories. I had planned on getting an orbital on my upper right ear and then a helix half-way up on the ... read more

Story of a failed cartilage piercing

I was at the point in my life where I had just left home and wanted to do something that I would not normally have been allowed to have done if I had still lived at home. I decided to get my cartilage pierced after just having second holes in my ears. A lot of girls at university had them and I liked the way that they looked. I chose to have the piercing at a clothing store that also does professional body piercing. I had heard a lot of good things about them so knew it was the place ... read more

DIY Lobe (Anti-Slip piercing)

My Second DIY Experience (on ME this time!) I say second DIY experience, though technically didn't do this COMPLETELY by myself... So it's been a few months since my last piercing, a Christina done three months ago just before my Graduation. I'm looking in the mirror admiring my recent stretching success and missing my recently departed transverse lobes and I think, cant I have something to replace them? Now Ive got pretty fleshy lobes as it is but I've decided I don't want to stretch my bottom or second holes anymore than I already have. I notice that there's quite ... read more

Pierced.

I know I don't need to explain to anyone on here about how much I've always loved the look of piercings. I wouldn't say I have any truly outrageous piercings (I have to keep it restricted to places like my ears and other areas that I can cover up as I work in a conservative office and facial piercings of any kind would most likely get me fired.) Because of this, I have stuck to decorating my ears with piercings. Back in February I had my industrial done. I knew I would want to then try and balance my ears ... read more

Conch experience 101

So this all begins in a drama class in first year of university, when I saw this guy with a crazy piercing. The ring he had in went all the way around his ear and through the middle, hard cartilage, part of the ear. I thought to myself, "how cool is that?" However, I never ended up getting it done. Fast forward to the third year. I had become obsessed with the piercing again, but this time I was definitely getting it done. I discussed it with my friend, who thought it would look good, and I decided to head ... read more

not only a peice of my ear but a piece of my pride!

Lets start this off just like every other story that people post on here. Since I was young I was always fascinated by the art and culture of body modification. Of course my family thought it was the newest way of self mutilation but I thought It was beautiful and I wanted to envelope myself in every aspect of it. I started at a young age, piercing everything I could get a needle through and not caring about sanitation or technique. The strangest part was when I started getting them done professionally, I asked the artist to pierce slowly, because ... read more

new school, new independence, new piercing

Ever since I got my second lobe piercings in sixth grade, I have had the desire to put more and more holes in my body. After having three sets of lobe piercings, one helix, my nose, and my navel pierced, I decided it was time for something more uncommon among my group of friends. That is when I started shopping around for my new body decoration. I came across a diagram of the "anatomy" of a totally pierced ear. The tragus was intriguing, but at the same time it was intimidating. None of my friends had theirs done. Unfortunately, I ... read more

scaffold piercing.

Having heard so many horror stories about industrial/scaffold piercings, I was reluctant to get it done, even though I had my heart set on it. I researched the hell out of it, and found hundreds of people complaining that it was a notoriously painful piercing, and a notorious bleeder. Finally, two days ago (3/10/09) I finally plucked up the courage to get it done :) Picking a piercing studio was a no brainer for me; I went straight to Blue Banana in Coventry, as they had pierced me before. I was aware that Blue Banana was sometimes said to be ... read more
