I've always wanted to have modestly stretched ears. My ears have been pierced since I was eleven, done at Claire's. I had them pierced with a piercing gun, which isn't the best method. Luckily, it was uncomplicated and I had no scar tissue. So, back seven or eight months ago, I attempted to dead stretch from an 18ga to 14ga, using some stainless steel circular barbells I'd borrowed from my best friend. Not a good idea. I tried for weeks, and my ears just became inflamed, swollen and lumpy. Fast forward to a month or two ago, my best friend ...

I began the ear lobe stretching process roughly 2 years ago when I was 15 years old. I was inspired by a sense of difference and acceptance to get my ears pierced and stretched when I was younger, and to my surprise my mother took me to get my ears pierced even though she hates the look of stretched ear lobes. I waited the suggested 6 weeks before changing out the jewelry, and as soon as the wait was over I bought a pair of 12g tapers. Over the course of a week I worked the 12g tapers into my ...

*May 2009* Almost everything that I do is completely spontaneous, and my decision to get an industrial was no different. I had been looking up interesting non-facial piercings (no facial piercings were allowed at my job at the time) and came across the industrial. I immediately loved it and decided to get one. I had only 4 (total)lobe piercings and a navel piercing at the time. I'd been wanting an eyebrow piercing FOREVER (and I still want one!), but like I said, my job would not allow me to have one, which is really unfortunate :] One of my best ...

So I decided to get my ears pierced because it was something I had wanted for a long time, i didn't want to spend money to get it done so I had my brother do it, he has had a ton of experience piercing various parts on his friends so I trusted him he pierced my ear and I was surprised that there was no pain during the process at all except for the soreness afterward. I experimented with different types of earrings for a while and then I discovered that people can stretch their ears and its a relatively ...

I have been interested in tattooing and piercing since I went with my mum about 5-6 years ago to have my name tattooed on her wrist, from that moment I was hooked. I would spend as much time as I could researching and reading about different piercings and tattoos people have had done and how it has helped them get through difficult stages in their life. I have always known that I wanted to be apart of this culture and in turn it be apart of me. When I was just thirteen I decided that I wanted an industrial... very ...

I've always been very interested in piercings. My family, mainly my dad, has always been very against them. Getting him to agree to get my lobes pierced a second time was tough, let alone anything "out of the ordinary". Eventually I got my nose, tragus, and most recently, my daith pierced. I generally have to do a lot of research on them first, a rule I gave to myself so that I know for sure that its a piercing I want to get. I also have a bleeding disorder, which tends to make this a more complicated endeavor than I ...

Ever since I was younger (about 5th grade id say) id always wanted to get an ear piercing, I mean why not my older brother/most of my friends had them, but alas my parents never wanted me to become one of the people in that "crowd". So I bid my time and just let it sit at the back of my mind for a couple years. The years passed and I was now in high school. Getting involved in the music scene re-kindled my interest in ear piercings but now I noticed stretched lobes. Going to local shows and playing ...

I got my Industrial Piercing on October 3rd, 2009. I went to Planet Ink in Downtown Ottawa. They welcomed me into the shop, it was extremely clean. Because I'm only 14 another place wouldn't give me this piercing. So I went and filled out the papers, and bought H2Ocean, a cleaning product for the aftercare, I recommend this to every and any one. It was only 15 dollars for me. After I finished filling in everything and paid for the piercing and aftercare I was introduced to my piercer, Juliette. She herself had a few piercings and tattoos but seemed ...

Ok, so I am one of those girls who got her ears pierced at the mall when she was seven, and then as she got older started neglecting to wear earrings in them. Yeah, I know. What's the point in having them if you're never going to wear earrings? Anyways, I moved to a new school my freshman year of high school and started seeing a bunch of girls with their ears pierced and my best friend (a huge influence in who I am today) who had three lobes in each ear and a cartilage in one. For holidays and ...

My desire to have a tragus piercing had been bugging me for quite a while. As with every piercing I have had, I like to think about it for a while, wince and squirm at the thought of the impending pain, then finally, get it done on a whim. And that's exactly what had happened when I decided to get a tragus piercing. One day my boyfriend and I were in the city, doing some shopping and getting a bite to eat, generally having a good time. The whole day I was toying with the idea of getting a new ...
