Simple Earlobes, Right And Wrong

I've loved stretched ear lobes since the first time I saw them, it's so much more personal because of the patience it takes to get there, rather than seeing all the people who went to Claire's for their 18g. I decided to get my start and have them pierced. At first, I went on the recommendation of a friend to another studio in Calgary besides Tribal Expression. I had been to Tribal for my labret and loved the experience there, but it is pricey; this was my first wrong. If you're going to mod your body in any way, even ... read more

My tragus experience.

So basically I had wanted to have this done since i was about fifteen years old. Back then i assumed I would need parental consent, something i KNEW my parents would never allow. Piercings in their eyes are for uncouth individuals and certainly not for their only daughter. Once I had reached eighteen and left home for University i just assumed i was too much of a geek to do something so reckless. Time passed and before I knew it I was twenty. I knew I wanted to get it done before my twenty first birthday and April is obviously ... read more

My second and third DIY piercings!

Last month I wrote about my very first DIY piercing experience (which was my right cartilage) and now I am back to write about my newest piercings! You can read my first story here: http://www.bme.com/pierce/01-ear/A91102/earmyver.html. My name is Sarah and I am 16 years old. I have a total of 10 piercings, which include: first lobes, second lobes, third lobes (what this story is about), right tragus, left cartilage, right cartilage and bellybutton. Last week I was sitting in my math class (again) talking to my two friends. We started talking about piercings and my friend (not the same one ... read more

Stretching with Tape Saved My Life

Well, I might be exaggerating a bit, but by using the taping method, it really has helped me with my stretching in the long run. But before I tell you about my experience that day, I might as well give you a little history on my stretching experiences up until now. I got my lobes pierced at an 8g and a pair of seconds at a 10g at Infinite Body on, South street, in Philadelphia, by Clay. I only intended on stretching the bottoms as I was going to put regular earrings in the seconds (obviously I had no idea ... read more

My Industrial Piercing

Yesterday, it finally happened. I had been begging my parents for two long years of my life, and they finally caved. Well, here's how it happened. Both of my parents have a thing against any type of body modifications (even though my mom has 2), though my mom is much more tolerant than my dad. Before my industrial, I only had 3 lobe piercings (one on each ear stretched to a 6g) and 2 cartilage piercings (both without my dad's permission). A couple months ago, I told my mom that I wanted an industrial piercing for my 14th birthday, November ... read more

First rook piercing

About two months ago, I finally made up my mind and decided to go get my cartilage pierced. I had been considering it for a while, but was nervous due to the fact that the last cartilage piercing I had got infected and I ended up having to remove the piercing. However, this was the first time that I was going to get my ear pierced with a needle rather than with a gun. I really didn't quite know what I was going to get done when I was driving to the shop, because I just couldn't decide what piercing ... read more

My lovely little tragus.

Today I turned 16. This morning I took my learners permit test, (100%, high fives for me) handed in school work (MUCH overdue I might add,) took my doggie for a long walk, and ultimately completed a whole lot of things I've been meaning to, but haven't found the time to do. All of these things are irrelevant however; as the most exiting thing I did today was get my tragus pierced. A brief piercing history, my ears are pierced 7 times (now) all over the shop, couple up the top, double lobes, my navel is pierced, and I've retired ... read more

My Journey to 1/2" !

In October of 2008, I headed downtown one day with a friend to get my septum pierced. While there, before paying for my fresh piercing, I noticed each employee had stretched earlobes. I had seen and heard of this before, but never until then had I been so attracted to the idea. When I got home, I did some e-research on the concept of stretching earlobes ad became quite stretch-savvy on the matter. I figured if I stretched my first set of holes, I could always use my second and third sets for regular earrings. Still, I was a bit ... read more

Lucky Thirteen

So last Sunday i woke up to the sight of the sun shining through the blinds and my boyfriend's awesome new tattoo (he assures me his chest is now 'finished' although if tattoos are anything like piercings i doubt he ever will be 'finished'). It felt like a new-piercing day for sure, don't ask me how I know, you just do, don't you....? Anyway, first, we had to find a good studio I felt I could trust. Previously I had always used the tried and tested method of nipping across to Ground Control to pay Tails a visit, but since ... read more

Ear Stretching, ahoy!

I initially had my ears pierced in 5th grade, doubles in 6th, and cartilage in 9th. Unfortunately, my cartilage was done with a gun at Claire's(I know, I know. Don't start yapping.) and it never really healed properly. It was extremely sensitive all the time and my ear just didn't look good with any earring in it. So, after a long time of 'just dealing with it,' I finally took it out. Well, now I thought my ears were just boring, so I got the bright idea to start stretching my left ear (the one that had the cartilage piercing). ... read more
