1st piercing (nipples)

anted to share this story, especially for everyone out there who is contemplating getting their first piercing. DO IT, you'll be hooked, pardon the pun.... I decided to get both my nipples pierced. I looked around on the internet and Perforations in Washington, D.C. was not only the closest member of the A.P.P., but their website was very interesting as well. Everyone was great, from the first phone call, to leaving the shop. I have to be honest, as my husband and I pulled up, he had a strange look on his face and said, "I don't know if I ... read more

Male nipple piercing experience

ike many men, I've been around piercing since I was a kid. My sister received her ear lobe "gun" holes in the early 1960's. My foster-brother "needled" his ear lobe in the early 1970's, long before it was common for a man to be pierced. Even at this early age, about 12 years old, I was asked if I wanted to jump in. I declined for many reasons. In the 1980's piercing accelerated to the point in which most of my friends had a least one lobe done. I attribute this to the influence of Heavy Metal music and Miami ... read more

eyebrow piercing @ forbidden fruit

been mulling over the idea of getting a facial piercing of some sort for literally years. Both my earlobes were pierced twice, both times with a piercing gun. The first set when I was 11, at a pediatrican's office. My mother had not told me she was going to let me have `em done beforehand, so I was completely freaked and couldn't sit still and they came out uneven. The second time, I was 20 years old and on my honeymoon in Ocean City, Maryland, walking around on the boardwalk while my husband slipped into a video arcade to get ... read more

Colie's Tragus Piercing Experience

t was my 20th birthday and I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself and browsing through the pictures on BME to get some ideas for my next piercing, it was a toss-up between a tongue pierce and a tragus. I rounded some friends up for support and headed to the Enchanted Dragon, where I had gotten my nipple and navel pierced, I figured that I could decide there. Well on the drive there one of my friends managed to talk me out of the tongue. I figured that would be a hard one to hide from my parents anyway ... read more

The Moko

b>Note: at the end of this article is a rebuttal I saw an ad for Polaroid recently that consisted of a polaroid picture of a guy with a full facial moko (as well as a bald head and what appears to be at least a 4 ga hoop through his earlobe). The copy is a dialogue between two parents about their daughter's new boyfriend, the picture of whom they were about to receive, and about how maybe they should invite him to Thanksgiving. Now, the implications of this ad are obvious; won't the parents be shocked and dismayed to see ... read more

Self Branding Experience

First off, I'd like to declare that I don't endorse, nor do I encourage self-branding. It's probably much safer and much more sanitary to have a brand done professionally. The reason I chose to do my brand myself is just because of my nature. I have this thing where I feel uncomfortable having it done by someone else. (All 4 of my piercings were done by myself using a sewing needle and the mirror.) I have been interested in body modification since I was about 10 or 12 years old. I always wanted to get my ears pierced like the ... read more

Do your ears hang low?- A (long) stretching experience

efore I get started, I want to give a disclaimer. I do not advise anyone to use my methods or time spans when stretching their lobes. I know I went too fast, but I also know my body very well, and these methods workedfor me, without any difficulties that I consider serious. They may not do the same for you. Thank you, drive through }:). With that out of the way, I can get on with my experience. I just recently finished stretching my ear lobes to 1" in slightly over one year. Last year, I decided that the french ... read more

Septum by Crystal Cross

've had this fantasy of piercing my septum for some time now. A septum pierce is my second favorite pierce, after a P.A. What I especially like about the septum pierce is it makes a wicked point of attachment, and if placed correctly, balances and enhances the harmony of the face. Also, it doesn't require a lot of after care, heals very quickly--usually within 4 to 8 weeks--and can be stretched easily and rapidly. After getting my P.A. at the end of July, I no longer had an excuse not to get my septum pierced. So I made an appointment. ... read more

My Secret Nipples

I used to think that tattoos and piercings were disgusting. I was raised to think that way. My ears were gun-pierced when I was 9 months old, at the pediatrician's office. I went through a time where I didn't even want to wear earrings. Now I generally sport a stud with a chain on one side and a chained stud and earcuff on the other, much to the dislike of my parents. Soon, I hope to add at least a few more ear pierces. When I was 12 or so, my cousin went and got his tongue pierced, in three ... read more

My Nipple@Perforations

n the recent months I have undergone changes. My first piercing experience was at Perforations in Washington D.C. I had been thinking about getting my nipple pierced and one day I just said what the hell and went to Perforations by way of the Metro Rail. I arrived at Perforations and met with Jason. He talked to me in a very professional manner and proceeded to explain the Nipple Piercing. Once I picked out the Jewelry (A 5/8 12 Black Nobium Ring) I began filling out the paper work. Then all went really bad. They asked me for my Drivers ... read more
