Nipple Repiercing Experince

Back in June, I had both of my nipples pierced at 14 gauge, 1/2 inch circular barbells. Less than a week later, I went to jail, had to take them out, and couldn't get the left one back in. I've been lopsided since then. Yesterday -- maybe since it was because it was my birfday, maybe because I was feeling lonley, who knows -- I went to Perforations. Part of me wanted to get repierced, part of me just wanted to stretch the left one to 12 gauge. After a lot of waivering and a few cigarettes, I decided to ... read more

First Tattoo Experience:)

ot my first tattoo when I was 18. I had wanted one for several years..but wanted to wait till I could do it legally, and also my parent's are very much against tattoos so I could not get consent from them. I figured waiting awhile wouldn't hurt me..other than the fact I was dying to get the tattoo! Well my 18th birthday came and went and I did not have my tattoo. I simply did not have a good oportunity to get it. I live in South Carolina and tattooing is not legal so I couldn't just drive down the ... read more

Better Late Than Never

suspect that many readers of this site and of rec.arts.bodyart either are or have been a college student. I am certainly no exception. Until I went to university, my experience of tattoos and piercing had been limited to ex-navy guys with blurry anchors on their forearm and studs in their ears. I had no wish to look like an assistant at a 3-year olds finger painting lesson and by the late 80s, ear studs on guys were hardly the mark of a rebel. (Being a rebel is especially difficult with understanding parents) When I started University, I simultaneously discovered both ... read more

How do you pick your nose? (stretching my septum)

Long before I knew anything about body piercing, I always said that if I were to get anything other than my ears pierced, I would get a "bull ring." When I began to learn more about such things, I decided that I was going to do it. About two and a half years ago, I got my first non-ear pierce, my septum. I got it pierced with a 14ga 1/2" SSS circular barbell. As I learned more and more, I discovered stretching. I never thought that I would want to do it myself, but I liked the look of large ... read more

10ga to 2ga Ear Piercing

developed the habit a few years ago of getting pierced every time I went abroad to somewhere interesting. So while in San Francisco last summer (96) I decided it was time to get piercings that would actually be visible in everyday life. So I decided to take the plunge and start on stretching my lobes, something I'd wanted to do for ages. The problem was that I had practically no earlobes, my ears just continued around from the end of the cartilage to the neck - leaving only a few mm between the edge of my ear and the inter-tragal ... read more

Body Adornment

Body adornment and decoration is a cultural universal. All cultures everywhere have attempted to change their body in an attempt to fulfill their cultural construct of beauty, religious and or social obligations. There are many other reasons, too numerous to list. Body adornment and modification is a very broad subject, ranging from ceremonial body paint to surgical breast implants. The focus of this discussion will be body piercing, and special attention will be paid to the cultural effects and affects of piercing. Though now body piercing and other modifications are widely accepted and regarded as a fad, I believe there ... read more

EDGE PLAY

k was with me last night and I was able to attend the cutting/scarring demonstration that Keith Alexander presented as part of "Edge Play", this week's program at the GMSMA (Gay Male S/M Activists) here in beautiful downtown New York City. Keith began with a concise and informative 15-minute talk, covering the safety measures (copious), legality (barely), and aesthetics of cutting. Anyone who's met Keith in person will be happy to know that he's the same confident and expert self when talking to a group as he is one-on-one. He took a few quick questions from the audience before introducing ... read more

Nipple Stretching Experience

ell, it's been one full week since my first stretching, and I couldn't be happier. I had both nipples pierced by Jay at Experience the Beauty Body Design in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada about 6 months ago, which was a wonderful experience in itself, and it finally came time to start putting some decent-sized jewelry in. Before I get into the details of that, I want to say how happy I have been with Jay (he has pierced my tongue and both my nipples). This is an opinion shared enthusiastically by every single one of his clients I have ever spoken ... read more

Nipple Experience @ Kingpin Studios

t had been about nine months since my last piercings (long enough to have a baby!), so when Earth's Edge added a store in Greensboro, NC, called Kingpin Studios, I knew it was time. Now it's been two whole weeks! The trouble was, I had no idea what to do. I already have a fourchette and a navel, and I had a vertical spinal that rejected (the piercer used a straight barbell...not a great choice). I have a friend who works at Kingpin, O., and I pestered him constantly about what piercing I should go for. Considering my tendency to ... read more

UNTITLED

lover and I had discussed for some time the possibility of having our nipples pierced (his left one, my right one). On the night before my birthday he picked me up from work and, as a surprise, took me to the local piercing parlor where he had made reservations for each of us to be pierced. The arrangements at the parlor were a little uncomfortable. The actual piercings took place behind a screen, with both of us present. The autoclave was there in the room with us, so that we could see that the needles were in fact sterile. The ... read more
