Hello All! Well my journey into ear stretching started a few months ago! I have always wanted to, but never got around to. My reasoning behind it is that it looks cool, the culture roots behind it, and I love the jewelry plain and simple. I decided to go to Claires at a local mall, got gunned, I wouldn't recommend the gun when it comes to initial ear piercing (go to a tattoo shop). I let the piercing heal for 6 weeks then sized up to an 18G (1mm) ring. That stretch was easy, not a big difference at all. ...

A little over a month ago, my ears were scalpelled from the 9mm range to 11mm by John Kid of The Piercing Lounge in Madison, WI. I had been stretching my ears for almost four years at that point, largely without the help of professional piercers (hey kids at home, remember that nine times out of ten, it's better to stretch your own ears!). I had been at my original goal size of 00g (wearing mostly 9-9.5mm plugs) for about two years, but eventually I decided to bite the bullet and move up to 1/2" for two reasons: 1. My ...

I am now on the brink of 23. I have been dealing with self injury alone for about a decade or so. One might think that's odd. In over 10 years not one person has found out. Maybe that's because I am too ashamed to allow someone in. Maybe it is because I am just that good of a secret keeper. For me this is similar to the post secret project. Letting my secret free and still remaining anon. I grew up in a somewhat normal home I guess you could say. My dad was a blue collar worker and ...

Those of you with good memories may remember that two months ago I wrote up my experience getting my snug pierced. I mention this not because I want to give you a detailed follow up right now, but because I fear comparisons between the two experiences are inevitable. So please bear with me. A quick recap: Prior to all this cartilage piercing business I have gotten my nose and belly button pierced and my lobes have two piercings. I also have two failed attempts at a helix and a failed attempt at a third set of holes in the earlobe. ...

I had wanted a medusa/philtrum piercing for a couple of months. I was hesitant at first because I really like my mouth, especially the cupid's bow, and I really didn't want it to be off-center or have it swell up like crazy. I also wanted it to be perfectly dainty. I had a very particular image of how it would look--teeny and adorable. [I know, I sound crazy, but it's a piercing in the middle of your face! It should be perfect!] I also couldn't decide between getting a medusa and a madonna, but after the consultation of several friends, ...

Hello BME-ers, Let me first introduce myself: I'm an 19 year old boy, I seem to be quite a lot like the kind of guy parents want their daughters to have as a boyfriend, but I only have one kind of"rebel" side. Since I was small, I am obsessed with piercings. I love to watch peoples pictures (ill post some soon) and read the experiences, I also love to talk to people who have piercings and talk about all the ins and outs. That's how I came to this blog and because I want to contribute to this great website, ...

The past few months have been difficult on me. Ever since I wrote openly about my needle phobia, I've received many encouraging responses. No, you're not crazy. You do need to overcome this, though. It was a common, honest, and truthful response to my rant which would prove to weigh on me for the next few months. After all, I couldn't expect to live the rest of my life and never fall ill or get into an accident which would require medical attention, unless of course my life were to be extremely short and whatever were to kill me would ...

Well it first started when I saw some of these large labrets and I decided I wanted one so bad. I researched it for ages I finally decided to have it scalpelled so it wouldn't take long instead of stretching it and so on. I spoke to a guy I'd heard about called Quentin Inglis from Kalima. He's a really nice guy and I spoke to him at least once a week for a long time and got to know him and he got to know me. I asked loads of things then finally he said come down and see ...

So when I was 10 years old I saw my first belly button ring. I immediately told my mom I wanted one, and she immediately turned it down. My mother is more of a conservative person, she thinks that a second hole ear piercing it rebellious, but I was 10 what did I know. The thought always stayed with me however, and when I would bring it up every once in a while, but never really bugged my mom about it. Her word was like law to me when I was younger. Not so much these days, however. At 13, ...

Ever since I was 13/14ish, I've always wanted an industrial. I mostly saw them on girls, but every time I saw one on a guy, I stared in awe cause they just looked so friggen awesome! I was young at the time though, and didn't want to go and get one since I figured my mom wouldn't be happy with the idea. The idea of me getting one eventually died down over a few years. When I was 17, the summer came and I saw a guy with an industrial. It re-sparked my interest for one. I figured I was ...
