Spur of the moment septum

Yet again I found myself getting a piercing I never dreamed I would get. Almost always when I had seen a septum piercing it was on someone with large jewelry and frankly didn’t look appealing to me at all.  Over time I started seeing discreet septum piercings with retainers and other small jewelry.  Suddenly septum piercings didn’t look so bad. My story begins when I was out of town for a few weeks on business.  I found myself walking around a city in Australia with a few hours to spare.  There were many things I could have done but I ... read more

Unplanned Nipple Piercing

As usual, this piercing was spur of the moment, barely thought out.  I guess thats just the way I am when it comes to piercings.  I actually don't like the look of nipple piercings but wanted to see how it would feel and also how it would alter sensations when touched by someone else.  Still, that was idle curiosity and not something I planned to act on. I was at work having a horrific day and was due to be stuck in 6 hours of meetings later in the day.  I honestly didn't think I could stand the day without ... read more

My First Solar Brand

Being very fair skinned, meaning it is impossible for me to get a tan. Ever. I have always had a healthy respect for the sun. It was this respect that made me very curious about solar branding. A tecnique of branding in which the suns rays are concentrated through a crystal sphere into a stenciled image on the skin. I first heard about this method a few years ago from Andrew S. of Las vegas. It was during his sun gazing fast that he had the idea of this sterile form of branding. After testing the procedure on himself and getting ... read more

My Corset Piercing Experience

I figured I would write about this experience while it is still fresh in my mind. I've had my full back corset piercing for two days now and it has been quite the new experience for me. First of all, I had no intention of getting something like this done because I know that it is not a permanent piercing but, the shop my piercer happens to work at was having a $120 all you can get pierced sale (which I don't really support but I'll talk about that some other time). Anyways, so I figured why not go all ... read more

DIY Tragus Experience

If you don't like DIY stories please read no further. As with most DIY stories I'll start with saying don't do this, it's not safe and there are  serious risks. That being said you are reading this because your contemplating a DIY project. All I can say is make sure you are prepared, start with googling steril protocol, order or purchase steril supplies and try to make your project as safe as possible.   On with the story. I'm old enough to handle myself and my body, I'm in my mid thirties, aware of steril protocol due to my ... read more

The vertical lip/labret that was not to be.

This is my first experience with piercing that I did not absolutely love after it was done. So with that being the case understand it is now removed but seeing how there are not many new stories of this piercing I figured I would share. So I first saw the vertical labret about six months ago, but being that I am older then most I've seen with this piercing and that I have only had one facial piercing previously the decision was a major one for me. I was entranced by how the piercing looked, I love how it made ... read more

My Navel Experience

For several years now, I have wanted to get my navel pierced. I've always thought they looked very cute and even dainty. My friends had theirs done, and I thought they looked great. I would constantly see pictures of navel piercings plastered across the internet, as if they were taunting my bare unpierced navel. A pretty gem attached to a silver bar in someone’s midriff easily sent me into a pit of envy. I wanted my navel pierced as soon as possible. The only issue was a lack of time and a ride to the studio.  However, my friend soon ... read more

my lobes as of today

I had my Lobes scallpeled about 2 years ago and the process was pretty terrible at first. I bled a lot and had blood crusties for weeks. The person who I had do it was a tattoo artist and said he had done a lot. I wish I had gone to someone who really knew what they were doing, I now have little pieces that are on each side preventing me from stretching evenly. I want to get them fixed but wonder if they will heal well. I was at 1/2 and was cut to a full 1", so my ... read more

Worth it?

Last year, I went through a really hard time in my life and in an uproar of stupid teenage rebellion I ran away from my problems, psychologically and physically. With an Amtrak ticket from Penn Station to Springfield Massachusetts I felt like the further I went, the easier life would get, so from Massachusetts I would buy yet another train ticket elsewhere. On my way to the city, the train stopped at Jamaica and the first thing I saw was "Free Piercings." The sign brought a smile to my face and beckoned me to step off the train. Lured by ... read more

this is not a test...

I'm not one of those people who decides to poke holes in her body out of boredom, but this time...was simply one of those times. Fresh out of college for the summer, I decided to get a new body mod that had just as much attitude as I. That was when I had made the choice to get an industrial. I knew that it was very pleasing, aesthetically, in my eyes, but at the same time, a bitch to heal. I also knew the risks of piercing cartilage, especially two pieces of cartilage at once. I had done my research ... read more
