New nipple piercings

Around the beginning of January I decided to get my nipples pierced. I've only had piercings on my ears before (both lobes, lobe orbital, forward helix, rook and conch industrial) but they were getting a bit full, and I knew I didn't want anything on my face, or visible on my body (though I toyed with the idea of a nape piercing). Thought it through a week while I was on holiday then got it done on the 13th January. I went to Holier Than Thou in Manchester as I have for all my others, and after I'd filled out ... read more

My Horizontal Nipple Piercings

I don’t know what originally triggered my desire to get my nipples pierced, but I do remember that I used to be one of those people who couldn’t imagine getting them. In fact, nipple piercings used to kind of freak me out because I have such sensitive nipples. But slowly I grew to like them as I researched them further here on BME and looked at pictures to see what kind of placement I liked. I eventually started saving up the money to get both of my nipples done at my favorite piercing studio, Iris Piercing in SLC, UT. I ... read more

DIY inner conch

Let me just start off by saying that you should not pierce yourself if you don't have to. A lot can go wrong and professionals really know what they're doing. That being said, do not go out and get pierced anywhere that uses guns. I have been horrified to see my friends with new piercings, only to find out that they got it done with a gun. Not just lobes, either. I'm talking tragus piercings and helix piercings. Don't do it! Guns are bad. Anyway, back to my conch. I've always wanted a big ring around my ear, so one ... read more

Painless Nipple Piercings

About five days ago I decided to finally get my nipples pierced after my boyfriend gave me a gift certificate to my favorite shop, Native Rituals, in Oak Forest, IL. I was hesitant to go through with it because I had heard stories of how much the piercing hurt and the aftercare/ healing time. Many people said it was the most painful piercing they've had. I also wasn't too excited that I would be getting these done in the dead of winter where my nipples are prone to getting REALLY cold, I only imagined what that would be like with ... read more

My conch – just keep pushing!

Shortly after I had my helix pierced, I started to get the itch again for another piercing. I started researching other sites, and finally settled on 3 options. Either adjacent to my helix, my tragus, or my snug. The tragus was looking unlikely, however, one Friday I went out to lunch, and our waiter had a most curious piercing in her ear. Right inside it. When I went home, I researched it and found that it was the inner conch. I knew at that point that that was the one for me. I was a bit short on funds at ... read more

Old Venom Piercing.

This is old. But I remember I kept track of my experiance and wanted to share it. Thursday, February 4th, 2010. I made plans with my friends to get my piercings, I was supposed to go to a different piercer to get them done, but, he wound up saying there were to many complications with the process and decided to not do it. So I went to a place I knew would. three or four days earlier I went over to tattoo nation here in San Antonio with my friend. it was 45$ for each individual one. but, as I ... read more

Loving my nape!

I remember when I first saw a nape piercing when I was 18 in college. It initially turned me off and I was grossed out, but I was only interested in more ear piercings and maybe a nose at the time, so that figured. After I got some facial ones a couple of years later, I was more into uncommon piercings, so I became interested at that point. I looked at galleries online, looking carefully at the pictures and reading up on all of the stories, and I had to decide if this was something I really wanted. I did ... read more

DIY Nies

So first of all, I know that nies piercing is not so well-known, so I'm going to explain where it is. It is placed on that particular part of skin where your ear joins your head. (You can see pictures in the BME Gallery) The idea of getting nies has crossed my mind a long time ago, but actually i've never taken it seriously. I was thinking that it would be awesome to have such piercing, but I have never seen anyone with nies, so I thought that this is for a reason and it is very hard or painful ... read more

Nipple Piercings

So I've had a pretty crappy last two weeks. And as everyone knows, piercings make everything better, right? Well, at least I think that :) But I'm not technically supposed to get anymore, so I let the idea drift...until I heard my friend talking about his nipple piercing. And how much it hurt. And how long it took to heal. And how much he likes it. So naturally, I asked him to show me. Hannibal did say we covet what we see. And I didn't want just one. No, I wanted to of those suckers. So I started checking around ... read more

A life long stretching dream come true!

I’ll never forget when I first became interested in lobe stretching: I was sitting at my Great Grandma’s house in Michigan and she was watching some sort of documentary (I couldn’t have been more than 8 years old.) On this documentary, there were two old women who had hung weights from their ears their entire lives and their ear lobes had become long enough for them to wrap into their ponytails. I was amazed! After that experience, I was very interested in the cultural aspects of body modification. I did tons of research on a large variant of piercings, but ... read more
