gunned to 1/2" in less than six weeks

To start, I am a guy, who was never really into piercings before. I had kind of thought about getting my ear done but never really took it seriously. I am seventeen and one day I was searching around for some cool ear piercing ideas and I saw the section on lobe stretching on BME. I thought, cool, I'll get me ear pierced, then stretch it to 6 and 8. Well, heres what really happened.

First of all, it took a lot to convince my parents to let me pierce my ear (I never told them of my future plans.) In fact, they thought I was only going to get it pierced once, but since it was the same price, I went ahead and got two on the left ear. Instead of waiting the six weeks I started stretching after one week. I made tapers out of Sculpey starting out really small (about 18 ga) going all the way to about 6ga.

People had told me that the initial piercing would hurt, yeah right, I hardly felt it. Then when it came to stretching, no one I know has anything bigger than a 14 ga so no one could tell me.

I started stretching, it kind of hurt, but it really only hurt bad twice. I figured that as long as I didn't tear the hole, I could stretch a lot, fast. The initial 18-14 stretch hurt quite a bit, but after putting bacitracin on the taper as lube, it wasn't too bad. After each stretch of the bottom hole, I would then insert it into the top hole, stretching them both at about the same time.

I finally (after only three weeks) had a 6ga and a 8ga hole which I kept sculpey plugs in. This was OK for a little while (3 days or so) and I decided to go bigger, so I made more tapers and stretched up to 2 ga. This didn't hurt but I still didn't think it was big enough so I decided to stretch even more.

This where it kind of hurt, I stretched from 2ga to 0ga to 3/8" inch without any problem but then I did something kind of stupid. I stretched from 3/8 to 1/2 in one day. Suprisingly it didn't bleed or tear, but it sure did hurt. Oh well, I'm still alive. I where a blue lucite plug in the 2ga upper hole, and a 1/2" plastic spacer that I found at the hardware store in the lower hole.

Each time I stretched my parents and fellow church-friends thought I was quite crazy but they figured they would let me do it, it's not going to kill me or anything. One guy at the church still bugs me. He whistles every time I walk by saying that the wind is whistling by going through the big hole in my ear.

This whole stretching experience took less than six weeks which I know is not advised. Hey, it worked, I cleaned it twice a day and it never got infected. Now, I'm thinking about stretching it to 5/8". And whether I do that or not, I want to get a cartilage in the right ear plus an industrial (scaffold) in the left year.

I am really active in the church, in fact I am the youth group president so a lot of people think its a little weird but oh well. Here's a quote from the old testament that I use. I put this whole in my ear to symbolize my life long devotion to Christ. "But if the servant plainly says, "I love my master, my wife, and my children, I will not go out free," then his master shall bring him to the door, or to the doorpost, and his master shall pierce his ear with an awl; and he shall serve him forever." Exodus 21:11

Jesus loves you, God bless
