my nip nips
I have been contemplating for a long time to get my nipples pierced but was very hesitant. I would often say about how I don't have the time, the money, or I just didn't have the guts. After a while I just gave in and decided I was going to get it done. So once i decided i was ganna do it I wanted to make sure how i wanted it. i never was a big fan of the horizontal piercing and neither of the vertical one. I looked online and would see people with it done on an angle and i realized that that was what i wanted to do.
I called up Native Rituals and asked the piercer Johnny questions about pricing, the type of jewelry he would use, and just other questions I would have about getting my nipples pierced. I was so excited about getting it done I couldn't wait.
The day came when I was going to go in and get pierced but my nerves got the best of me. It seemed like I was ganna have a panic attack. I decided I was not ganna drive up there and chicken out so I went into a local store and got some sugar and Gatorade to calm me down. Surprisingly it worked. Good thing i looked up others experiences on BME cause someone told me how you should take some sugar before you get pierced to help you.
Once I got there I was very calm and still nervous because I'm a very shy person so for me to do something like this takes a lot out of me. Johnny was amazing he was completely professional and answered all the concerns I had. He showed me what needles he was going to use, told me why he did piercings fee handed (without clamps), showed me where the needle was going to go thru and out of, and he was so sterile he probably changed his gloves like ten times at least throughout the whole process. He even wanted me to sign something saying I saw him doing all the sterile techniques but I had to do it after the piercing.
He told me about all the aftercare techniques I should do for it and gave me some sea salts and told me the proper measurements I would need for it. He gave me a pamphlet that had all the information I would need about healing time and for how long I should do the sea salt soak for.
So when it came down to getting it pierced I was just ready for whatever. After he cleaned up the nipples I told him how I wanted them to be diagonal like a V so he showed me where he would pierce me and asked me if what was okay for me. I loved it so still nervous I got onto the table and was still kind of freaked out because I would read from various sources about how it hurts but then I would read about how it didn't hurt. So he did the right one first and it actually wasn't too bad although once he got to the second one was like hell. It is so true how your second nipple hurts worse than your first one. Holly shit after awhile my nipples felt like they were on fire!!! But after a while it went away. Thank goodness I decided to wear a loose tank top because I would have been in hell if I wore a tighter shirt. But now I am so happy I got it done and can't wait till it's completely healed.
I have been cleaning it just like Johnny told me to do and i am very happy with the results. The first night it was still tender so i couldn't appreciate it too much but now it looks amazing and trust me i appreciate it. I think that if you want to go and get it done my best advice would be to just do it but be ready to take care of it for a long time. Female nipples take a lot longer to heal than males so just be ready for that.
I highly recommend that people go to Native Rituals in Oak Forest, IL trust me you will be so happy. I have gone to other pierces before and I have gotten the worst experiences. They were not as sterile as Native Rituals and not nearly as informative. In fact one piercer was a bit of a prick to my mom when i got my nose pierced. I have recommend all my friends to Native Rituals and I will be going there again soon to get more done. 15120 s. Cicero Ave, Oak Forest, IL 60452
