Decorating the Girls, Oww!

So I had been wanting to get my nipples pierced for about 6 months, but was too nervous to do it solo. Sometime last week one of my girl friends mentioned that she too wanted to get it done but did not want to do it alone. "Awesome!" I thought to myself, "Now I have a piercing partner! " So we decided what the hell, let's do it!

So yesterday she came to my house and we headed up to Skin Candy, our studio of choice. The studio is about 30-45 min away from my house, and the closer we got the harder out heats were pounding away in our chests.

This was the first piercing I was really afraid to do, and this was her first piercing other than her earlobes when she was like 6. She was much more nervous than I was and almost considered backing out. I reassured her that everything would be fine and we went in and filled out the paperwork and all that good stuff.

She wanted to go first, so she sat down, got it done, and took it pretty well (only a scream/whimper on the first one, and a bit of heavy breathing for the second)

Then it was my turn. Even though I have a small collection of piercings, I still have a pretty low pain tolerance. I actually had just gotten my septum done about a month ago, and I was hoping that the clamps would hurt more than the piercing like in my septum experience, not the case at all!

I sat down, pulled down my shirt and bra and she cleaned my nipples and marked where the piercing would go. She applied the clamps, they hurt, but not unbearably. Then the moment of truth, I took a deep breath closed my eyes and screamed "MOTHER F*CKER!" oh man it hurt! Then she slid in the 14g captive bead ring, that didn't hurt so bad.

Time for the second one. I thought about how bad the first one hurt, and I had heard that the second one hurts worse because you know what kind of pain you are in for. But if my friend who had been more afraid of this than me could do both, so could I. She went ahead with the second one, this time my body tensed up like crazy, you would think riggimortis had set in temporarily.

This was the first piercing I have gotten that bled (except my tongue) and was hands down the most painful! But I do suggest wearing a bra when you go get it done, it is comforting contrary of what you may think. It stops them from being rubbed by your shirt and pads them from anything that may bump into them.

And then it was over. With my eyes watering, and feeling like a big baby we walked up to the front to pay. I apologized to Anngee (the piercer) for screaming, I just couldn't help it. She wasn't upset, she said she has heard much worse from other girls getting this piercing. She also said that a lot of people intend of getting both pierced, but back out on the second after going through the first, so I didn't feel so bad.

So far they are just a little sore, unless I bump them on something like the seat belt on the way home (be where of the seat belt!) But what I did notice is that they seem perpetually hard since the piercing (not sure if this is normal), and when I went outside last night (it was cold) I could feel the cold in my nipples right away, faster and more intense than usual. I'm not sure if this is due to them just being sensitive right now, or because of the metal being there, either way that will take some getting used to.

I was afraid that it would be hard to sleep because I usually sleep on my stomach, but I was able to sleep ok on my back and my side, I'm not sure if sleeping on your side will work so well for better endowed women, but I'm only an A cup so that was not a problem for me, especially because I slept with a bra on as my piercer had recommended. I was also worried that taking a shower this morning might be uncomfortable but the water was actually soothing. But what worried me the most was going to work today and having someone bump into them, so I was extra careful and stand offish with my co-workers today and all was fine.

But in any case, it was well worth it, they are so cute! I can't wait until they heal and I can put in some of the cute nipple rings I got for them. If you are thinking about getting this done, go for it, but be prepared, it is a bit painful (at least in my case).
