First nipple piercing experience!!
I've always thought about getting my nipple done. I had heard of a few people who had theres done and thought of it as a relatively uncommon piercing. I had completely forgotten about wanting this done until my friend bought it up. She said she wanted hers done, and for the first time in a while, I had the desire to get a new piercing too!
When she mentioned it, we went straight out to the piercing shop in town, only to find it was closed. It was a very spur of the moment thing, but for some reason I wasn't nervous, so I figured we could go the next day to get it done.
So, the next afternoon, my friend came to pick me up, unwillingly, as she had a hangover! But she wasn't getting out of it that easy! Once I have an idea in my head, I want to go ahead and do it straight away.
We were both pretty excited, she was very doubtful though, she wasn't sure if it'd hurt or if she had the nerve to go through it. I decided to offer to go first, and tell her the pain factor.
We arrived in town, and made sure we had something to eat before we went up to the piercer. We took a slow walk up, still doubting if we had the nerve to do it. When we arrived at the shop a few more people were there. We had a chat with the piercer, as we both talk to him whenever we go in there for jewelry (or piercings!) We told him what we wanted, and he explained a little about the piercing process. My friend and I decided to let a few more people go in before us, so we could debate it some more. Eventually, after an hour and a half, a young girl and her mum told us to go in before them, and kept encouraging us! So I decided to just get it over with, so we went in.
The piercer explained what he was going to do, and was very friendly and helpful.I filled in the forms while the piercer was doing a sale on some jewelry.
As I took my top down, he numbed the area and marked it up. my friend looked more nervous than I did, which made me worse! After the cream started to work, he told me to lie down so he could pierce me. It was then I started to worry, as the clamp hurt me, I was dreading what it would feel like when the needle went through. He told me to take a deep breath, then he pushed the needle through. I yelped out in pain, as it stung quite a lot when it first went in. My poor friend looked even more nervous! The piercer tugged the needle up, to prove it was numbed, as I was convinced it wasn't! But he was right, I was just making a fuss! He then proceeded to point to the sign on his wall reading 'No Whining!' which made me laugh and made it hurt more! He put the bar in, and cleaned it up and explained a little about aftercare. Unfortunately, I went a little light headed and had to put my head on my friends lap for about 10 minutes to stop myself from passing out, which was odd as I ha
ve never felt like that with any of my other piercings.
After I felt better, we decided to go outside and across to some benches for a cigarette, and so I could convince my friend it wasn't as bad as I made it out to be. She debated getting it for a good half an hour, and eventually plucked up the courage to go and get hers too.
We were waiting about 10 minutes while he finished piercing a few others who arrived before us. Eventually he called us in.
The piercer was very patient, as my friend reluctantly took down her top. I held her hand as she did for my piercing, and was over and done with in a matter of minutes.
After 4 days now, both our piercings are still sore. Unfortuntely for my friend, blood turned her stomach and she spent the night in the toilet :(. We put cotton pads in our bra's, to stop our fresh piercings from rubbing which is working nicely.
I'm very happy with my piercing, and when the swelling has gone down a bit, I can't wait to change the bar and put some funky styled rings in it!
I don't think I could go through it again, only as it was a very sensitive area to get pierced.. although my friend is going back in a few weeks to get her other nipple done! Even though I know, I'll end up doing the same!
