My body piercing Saga begins with my left nipple

My body piercing Saga begins with my left nipple. I have been interested in body piercing for quite some time now, about six or seven years at least. I have always had a peculiar fondness for women with body piercings, the navel being my favorite. I have never been particularly fond of navel piercing on men, so I opted to get my nipple pierced. This and the fact that several people had told me that it was so painful, and I just needed to know for myself. Well I have determined that they lied, or they did not have a very good piercer. I found the whole experience to be rather painless, about the same as getting a really good titty twister. Here's my story...
I went down to a local place (Island Dyes Springfield, Va.) near my house and spoke with several of the employees one afternoon, and started getting information about the process as well as information about their piercers. I was not going to get it done this first day, I was just in an information gathering mode. I checked out the jewelry, as well as the tools of the trade. They sold a lot of clothes, shoes, skate boards, and accessories. They had two piercers that only did body piercing, no tattoos or anything else. All the employees were extremely friendly and were willing to answer all my questions. After having all my questions answered I thanked them and went on my way to ponder my new found knowledge.
Well a week went by as I played with the idea of getting pierced.
By that Saturday I was set I couldn't wait any longer I felt that I needed to get this done. I can't really explain it, some people insisted that I was doing this for attention, or just for some kind of fad thing. I could not explain myself to them, sure I love the attention I get by being out there on the edge, but I am a leader not a follower. Several of my friends have their ear pierced which is one of the reasons I chose not to do it. Also with my job I really need to keep my piercings out of sight. Saturday was my night, I went down to the shop spoke with Rob one of their piercers for about ten minutes, and set the process in motion. Within 10 minutes I was in the process of getting my very first pierce.
I went whit Rob my new found best friend, I say this because he must
be one hell of a guy because I am going to let him stick a needle through my nipple. We went in to a small section in the back of the store that had been divided away from the rest of the store. I checked it out they had a large selection of jewelry in a large segmented organizer, a large autoclave, and I'm sure every damn cleaner and disinfectant they make on a large shelf. Rob pulled out a tray and began putting all his various implements of destruction on it for the task at hand. He talked with me the whole time as he was preparing his tray. I was waiting for him to pull something from the autoclave when I realized that it didn't look like they used it much, which caused me to look at the tray Rob was getting ready. The sign up front had said that they used an autoclave, but when I checked out the tray everything was wrapped for single use. This made me even more comfortable, and I was ready to go we decided on the left nipple.
Once Rob had the tray ready and everything he needed at hand said
"expose yourself", which was my que to get ready. He directed me to sit down and lean back a little, he adjusted his light so he could get a good look at what he had to work with, which is not much. He could tell I was a little nervous this being my first time, so he eased me with a little joking around which help quite a bit. He made a few comments about me being a typical male with under developed nipples, (which I already knew.) He also said it may be some what annoying while he tried to get the clamps on my nipple. I workout quite a bit and he said having a muscular chest did not make for an easy pierce, but that it should not hurt anymore or less. He put on a pair of latex gloves and it only took him a minute or so to get the pen marks and the clamp lined up on my nipple. He reached around and grabbed his needle, (boy did that damn thing look BIG) and cork. He told me to lean all the way back and think about the Bahamas. I gave him a somewhat curious look, to which he responded " I'm serious." I started to lean back he told me to take deep breaths as I was taking a deep breath I felt a pinch, and he said I could sit up. Sit up?! I hadn't even leaned all the way back yet and he's telling me to sit up. I looked down and he was sliding the CBR through my newly pierced nipple.
My first response was that's it?! It didn't hurt anywhere near as much as everyone had made it out. I found it to be a great experience. I have to say that Rob had completely taken me of guard which I suspect is why it didn't hurt very much. I stood up put my shirt back on, while rob disposed of all his implements of destruction. He then gave me a sheet of paper with all the care instructions and went over each instruction very carefully, explaining that his work and pager number were on the sheet as well as the other piercers pager number if any problems should come up, or I have any questions. He also told me he wanted to see me in 7 to 10 days.
With all considered it was great, I loved every minute of it. I love seeing that CBR in the mirror in the morning. Plus as a male who never really saw any point to nipples on men, I have a whole new appreciation. My nipple is so sensitive I love the new feeling that I get. The first few days it was overly sensitive, but four days into it I just can't wait until I can have my woman play with it. The only thing I have to say about body piercing is do it for yourself don't let people talk you into doing it, and don't do it because it's the in thing. Most important if it is something you want to do for yourself DON'T let people talk you out of it.

PS. If it didn't hurt a little everyone would have one.
