Tried the wisdom teeth diet, now trying the tongue piercing diet

So I'll start this off by saying that about 3 years ago, I swore to myself that I would never get a tongue piercing. They seemed too painful and just not worth it. But as I met some people who had them, they were little wussies and I figured well if these people can get it done, then so can I. So I had it all planned out as to where I was going to get it done, where I would get the money, etc. I'll just skip the whole part of how my parents would kick me out of the house if I got it done. But their pretty oblivious to a lot of stuff so it isn't that hard to hide. Anyways, I just had one thing from stopping me; I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. So I had to go through almost 4-5 months to wait for my teeth to come out and for me to heal. Let me just say, that I DO NOT recommend getting your wisdom teeth pulled out. It was the worst experience of my life.

After a few days of miscommunication, I finally got my check, and headed down to Artistic Freedom Tattoo with my friend, where I was recommended to by a bunch of people. The piercer, Phish, was pretty nice and asked what I wanted while he was doing a tattoo. We had to wait about 15 min for him to finish that up and then for the jewelry to sterilize. So after that was done he called me back into the piercing room, it was a cute little room that had a kind of chiropractic bed thing and told me to sit down. He had me rinse with listerine, which I love =) He never really asked me where I wanted it, he just looked at the veins and then clamped it, but he took a good few minutes to get a good placement with them, and the placing was perfect. My tongue is a bit on the short side so it's pretty far up front on the bottom, but pretty far back on the top. We were just kinda conversating about stuff before and after he did it, I was actually talking normal; I was surprised. But so after he clamped it the way he liked it, he did a little fumbling and then asked me if I was ready, I nodded then just felt a bunch of pressure in the middle of my tongue. It never hurt, just alot of weird feeling. I also didn't hear anything or didn't feel it going in the top or out the bottom. He had me rinse with my more listerine, then asked to see it. Up until this point, I thought I was doing very good because I didn't drool at all, until he asked me to stick my tongue out. A huge glob of spit just like fell from my mouth and we just kinda laughed a bit. He then did my belly button. But that was the most uneventful story ever. We were just talking about dermal anchors, which I had no clue how those worked out, I was shocked. Then after that I paid, got my care sheet and was on my way after my friend talked to him a little about getting a tattoo. We went to walmart right after and got some sea salt and biotene.

Last night, I propped my head up on some pillows but I can't sleep this way so I was up a lot. I had a motrin and that probably helped the swelling and pain also.

So its been a day and I'm eating chopped up spaghetti right now, it's not that hard. Earlier today I had some fruit and pita bread. It is just soooo awkward to eat, I feel like I need to swallow the top ball. It still hasn't swelled up or started to hurt bad, I guess it's because I drank ice water 24/7 every since I got it done. So it definitely helps. I hate this long barbell because its so unnecessary right now. If I ever get any pain, I just rinse it with some biotene and it goes back to normal. It does feel a bit awkward all the time though, but of course it will for a while. Sea salt water feels pretty good on it too. It's not as hard to talk as I thought it would be, but sometimes my tongue gets tired and I just stop talking right in the middle of a conversation because it doesn't want to work anymore. It's definitely already getting addicting; sometimes I catch myself slowly rubbing it on the top of my mouth or on my bottom, but I know I gotta stop that before it gets bad. I definitely recommend this piercing and artistic freedom, they were awesome and clean and he was so helpful!

If anybody has any questions just ask =)
