My first real piercing
It all started by wanting a simple nose ring since I was little. That nose ring turned into what i have today. I have my ear cartilage gauged to a 10 on both sides, and my DIY lobes (I dont recommed to anyone), so this was my first "real body piercing".
After a long time of convincing my parents to let me get it done, my mom finally said it was ok for me to get my eyebrow pierced but she wasn't going to be the one going with me because she didn't want to see it happen to me. So I called Darkstar Tattoo and Body Piercing and they said to come in whenever that I didn't need an appointment that the piercer would be there Thursday through Saturday, to just stop in whenever.
About a week later I went into Darkstar with my dad and they were extremely friendly. They asked what I wanted to get done and I told them my eyebrow and I began to fill out all of the papers. I had to show them my birth certificate and my dad's ID. I had to wait about 20 minutes for other people to be pierced before they were all ready to pierce me. There were glass cases with tons of body jewelery in them, which i tried to keep myself entertained with. But with each person coming out from being pierced, I was getting more and more nervous. While she was setting up I was asked whether I wanted a C.B.R. or barbell, so I chose barbell.
A few minutes later I was called into this really clean room with a huge white chair in the middle and all the tools were set up on the side. It kind of looked like a doctors office. Corrie(my piercer) asked me if I had any other body piercings and i said no, so she proceeded to explain to me that it wouldn't hurt that much.(I was still so nervous) She asked me which side I wanted it and I chose my right side, then she cleaned the area with a wipe and marked two little dots on my eyebrow. She told me to look in the mirror to see if I liked the spot and I said it was cool because I figured she knew what she was doing. So i trusted she knew what would look good so I let her do her thing. Next she put the clamps on my eyebrow and told me that would be the worst part. I didn't think that they hurt at all. Now the big part, she told me to breath in through my nose and out through my mouth and as soon as I started doing that the needle was already through my eyebrow. (She had to get another one because she dropped the first one.)
She said "You're pierced!" and in my head I was thinking "no way that was it?" I was worried over nothing the needle didn't even hurt. You can feel it going in but it doesn't hurt at all, it's just feeling like a cold needle is sliding through your skin. Last was putting in the barbell, I thought that was the worst part. It wasn't unbearable but it hurt a little because she was tugging on it to get it through and it took a little while to get that tiny ball on. After she was done she told me to look in the mirror to see if I liked it. I thought it looked awesome. I had gotten a little woozy but she gave me a juice box and wouldn't let me leave til she knew I was OK. She was really nice about the whole thing and told me when it was healed I could come back and she would change the ring for free or if I had any problems to come back and see her.
I recommend getting this piercing done for anyone who is thinking about it. If your worried about the pain: I have a very low tolerance for pain and it was nothing to me.(I was a little woozy but thats it.) It didn't bleed when i got it done and it didn't even swell afterwards. I paid $50 for the piercing, barbell and cleaning solution. The piercing was so quick I was out of there within 10 minutes. Now it's been 2 months since I got it done and im really happy with it. I haven't had trouble with it yet and im able to change the barbell myself after 2 months. I showed my mom and she thought it looked cute after all. Im now aiming on getting my rook done for my birthday. For anyone who is looking for a place to go I recommend Darkstar Tattoo and Piercing in MA.
