My Awesome Eyebrow Piercing
Well, this all started about a year ago when I first wanted to get a piercing. I asked my mom if I could get one and she said absolutely not. But I kept asking her every week for about 3 months and when I turned 16 she let me get a piercing. I was so excited but I had no idea which piercing I was going to get. First I wanted my lip pierced but she didn't want me to get that one because I would be at a high risk for an infection. So, I came to BME and looked at all the things I could get pierced. Right away I saw the eyebrow piercing and I fell in love with it. I asked my mom if I could get that one and she agreed. Then 11 days later we went down to High Point Tattoos.
I was really nervous so I asked if my friend could come with me. She wanted to see how they did it anyway. So, after school we all got in the car and went over there. I had to have my mom with me since I wasn't 18 yet and she had to sign all the papers. It cost $35 to get it done and that included the jewelry. I decided to get the curved barbell. They we very nice there and they answered all my questions and the rooms were also very clean. So, my piercer took me to one of the rooms and told me to sit in the chair. She then explained everything she was going to do and showed me all the tools she was going to use. She cleaned my eyebrow and marked the place that looked best for the piercing. It took about 3 tries but then she got it placed perfectly. She then clamped my eyebrow which didn't hurt at all and told me to breathe in and out slowly. Then she stuck the needle right through my eyebrow. I was so surprised that it didn't hurt at all. My ear piercing hurt worse than this did. So she put the barbell in and screwed on the balls and it was all over. She told me to stay sitting down for a couple of minutes because I may get light headed. This is when she went over all of the cleaning instructions and told me how long it would take to heal.
As soon as I saw my piercing in the mirror I fell in love with it and I knew it was going to be a part of me forever. I'm very glad I did this when I did because my mom has now passed away. She really liked how it looked on me and she said that she couldn't imagine me without it. I was very nervous and I almost didn't get it. But all my friends said I need to get it because it was something that I had wanted for a very long time. However, some people I know said that the eyebrow piercing didn't fit me but I think it looks perfect with me.
The first time I changed the jewelry I was scared that I wasn't going to be able to get it back in the hole. It hurt a little but it went in very easy. I changed it to a clear barbell because I played softball and they wouldn't let me have the medal one in.
Now I have spikes and I still love it. I am now thinking about getting my lip pierced and getting a tattoo. I'm not sure how I will look with an eyebrow piercing and a lip piercing. I also hope that it doesn't hurt a lot just like my eyebrow piercing. I think piercing are awesome and they really show your style and individualism.
If you don't mind a little pain and you like piercing and haven't gotten one yet, I strongly suggest that you get it. It's a really fun experience and you will really like it when it's all done. Just don't do it yourself because you can really do some damage and it can get infected and you could have major problems. Go to a professional and make sure that you trust the piercer because it makes it a lot easier and you are more calm which makes the piercing painless. Don't do this to be cool either. If you don't really want a piercing don't get one just to fit in. It's dumb and it won't make you cooler. Be original and be different from all your friends, not just like them.
I can't wait to get my next piercing or tattoo. If you want to know about getting your eyebrow pierced or how much it hurts just e-mail me and I will give you all the details.
