The greatest high of all time

ince I was 16, I wanted to get my eyebrow pierced. I knew that my mother would flip put if I came home with it pierced. I decided against it, but i never forgot about getting it done. I came to college and saw so many people with piercings. I decided to get it done. I had talked to my mother about it,and she was totally against it. When she was young she had gotten a tattoo. She hates it now, and wishes she never had gotten it. I just told her that this was different, it could be taken out. She was still against it. Then I realized a way to make her let me get it done. She hated the fact that I smoked. So I told her that I would quit if she would just say it's ok to get my eyebrow pierced. She agreed, and I reassured her that this is something that I really wanted to get done. She seemed to be ok with it. When i decided to go through with it, I wasn't about to just find any ole place to get it done. I looked around a bit first. I looked places up in the phone book. I called them and made sure needles were new and they used Autoclave. I also visited a few places before deciding on which place to go to. Well the day came that I was to go and get it done. I was so excited and so nervous at the same time. Everything was fine until i went into the shop. My hands started to sweat and my heart was racing. But I knew this was something that I had wanted to get done. I had went with a friend of mine who wanted to get her nose pierced, but wasn't sure of it yet. I decided to go first to let her think about it a little more. I walked back into the room, out of breath, so scared. Just the thought of a needle basically stabbing me in the eyebrow freaked me out. I sat in the chair. The piercer asked me some questions, and he talked to me. Which was so cool. I mean he made me feel comfortable. I can remember he had asked me if i was allergic to shellfish. I thought that was kind of strange. He then explained to me that the stuff he was going to put on to clean it was made with shellfish. I wasn't, so everything was ok. He told me to just lay back and relax. I was still full of fear. He knew I was really scared. He then said to me, "Try not to think of it as a needle going through you eyebrow, think of it as a B*tching piece of jewerly coming out of ur face." I thought that was the funniest thing. I felt a little more comfortable. After that I shut my eyes. He told me everything he was doing when he was doing it. He told me when the clamp was going on and made a remark like. "This is the dreaded clamp that everyone hates." I just laughed. He put it on, and to my surprise it didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. Then came the needle. He put it through and I was so shocked because it didn't hurt one bit. It actually felt good in a weird way. A definate high. He put in my ring and snapped the bead on. He told me how to clean it and gave me some things to clean it with. And it was over. Didn't really take any more time then 10 minutes at the most. After the procedue was finished I realized that it was just the fear of getting it done was making me think that it would hurt. After getting my eyebrow pierced I've realized that im ready for some more piercings. I think my next move will be my tongue. I guess what they say is true. Piercings are addicting. Oh yeah and my friend did get her nose pierced that day too! It has been about a month since I had it done. And I still love it. Just the same as when I had it done. It was a little hard to get used to. I mean that's pretty understandable, there is a piece of metal hanging out of my face. (to put it bluntly) Sleeping was a lillte rough. But about after 2 weeks I could sleep on that side again. I don't think I ever want to take it out! I would definatley recommend to anyone to get their eyebrow pierced! My mom still hasn't seen it yet. I haven't gone home from college yet. I am going home for spring break soon, and I really hope she likes it. Now I just have to work on her to let me get my tongue pierced!
