a long awaited eyebrow piercing
have wanted to get my eyebrow pierced for about 4 years. Before I ever saw anybody that had actually had that done. I've always been fascinated by body piercings, and I just thought to myself " wow, my eyebrow would be a great place to get pierced. " My parents, however, disagreed. At this time I was only 14 years old. So I'd have to just wait. Finally, 4 long years later I was 18. I had to wait a few weeks after my birthday because I didn't have any ID. All the tattoo places in Memphis religiously ID everyone.
After getting my ID, a few tattoos and my tongue pierced, I was more than ready for the eyebrow. I got a friend to go with me because I knew I wouldn't be able to drive home. We got there, picked out the jewelry ( I'm not sure what this thing is called. It's like a CBR, but instead of a bead there's a black square type thing in it. ), paid the piercer ( it was only $40. I expected it to be more. ) filled out my paperwork and was told that it would be a 20 minute wait while it sterilized and sat down and looked at the flash all over the walls. I shouldn't have done that because I saw like 8 more tattoos that I wanted.
I heard the little ding noise and knew that they were ready for me. I was nervous. I didn't get nervous at all until this point. I sat down on the big brown dentist type chair, promised the guy piercing me that I wouldn't kick him, and said I was ready. Right about here is when I noticed the needle and I thought to myself " oh. shit. " He marked the spots, gave me a mirror and asked if it was ok. It was. The clamps were put on and moved around a lot. That was uncomfortable. He held the clamps and then told me to breathe. I took a deep breath, let it out, and the next thing I knew he was putting the jewelry in. I didn't feel the needle at all. I felt the jewelry going in, but there was no pain. I felt blood running down my face and there was blood in my eye and everything looked red. But I felt great. I had done it. Finally.
I stood up without any problems, he asked if I knew how to take care of it ( I did because I read BME. um. all the time. I think I've read everything ON here. heh. ), gave me a paper towel to stop the bleeding with and we left.
It only bled for 10 or 15 minutes. Still no pain.
Later that night I cleaned it with bactine, rotated it, and that burned a little.
It's been 3 weeks since I had it done and I haven't had any problems with it, except when I forget that it's there and accidentally hit it, and I got into a fight and it got hit and started bleeding again. That's it.
I'm looking for a place in Memphis that will pierce a scrumper and having no luck. (hint. hint. if anyone by any chance knows of a place here that will do it, please let me know. ) And I've had all my tattoos and piercings done at Mr. Bills, it's a pretty cool place. Clean, nice people, yadda yadda yadda.
So um. that's my story. I think that's all.
