My girlie tattoo
Since my student times I was fascinated by pin-up tattoos, but when I started looking for a design I just couldn't find what I was looking for. 12 years ago I stumbled across a picture of Mata Hari, the WWI spy and exotic dancer. I knew the picture of this sexy, nearly naked woman would be perfect to put on my body. With a roomy I went to a tattoo parlor to have a little design done on my forearm, so I could see her all the time. The tattooist looked at my drawings, he said the work would be too small to see any detail and suggested a design that would be much bigger and costlier. My friend suggested I think it over and in hindsight I am happy I walked away from the place.
Years later I got a job in finance, I finally got the means to spend money on a good design and find the best tattooist. As I lived in a conservative area where tattoos are frowned upon I had to change my preferred place of my right forearm to my thigh. In this way I could cover my future tattoo just by wearing a boxer short, besides I could keep this a spicy little secret for just my partner and myself.
I went to a good tattoo shop to have a design made, but somehow the artist came up with a slightly disappointing drawing of a slim, big breasted lady. Personally I favor the more voluptuous girls with big bottoms, besides Mata Hari was also known to have a bigger behind. I decided not to go for it. A few years later I met my wife who used to be a dancer and she had a very curvy body as well. She once told me she always wanted a tattoo, but because of her work she never came to do it. I told about my wish and we made plans to finally have tattoos done.
In Darwin Enriquez, who worked at Wildcat in Antwerp we found the right artist. He had reworked my Mata Hara picture and made it look like my wife. For this I had previously send him photos from my wife, including some nudes and her in exotic dancer kit (ie. not wearing much). The design measured about 15cm in height with a maximum width of 12cm from knee to toe. He on the directions of my wife applied the stencil on my left upper thigh and started tattooing. Very fast the thick outlines were made, it didn't hurt that much and from the sounds my wife made I could hear that it was going to be "beautiful and quite big". During the tattooing I noticed that the pain increased when the needle came close to where my leg meets the body. Darwin explained that this was because the skin is thinner there. During the tattooing modifications were made: in the picture Mata Hari was naked except for her breast, this was because she didn't really have breasts. My wife has a nice C-cup and I wanted for the design to have her chest and they should be on show. Darwin tattooed nice jewellery like a pearl necklace and silver armbands. To complement my girlie's blue eyes the pin-up got a nice blue rose in her blond hair. "Ooh, she really knows where to look at" my wife remarked after the tattooist had done more work on girlie's eyes. In three and a half hour he was done with the design and the coloring. The tattooist looked at his work and decided to give some darker shading on the pin-up's bottom "to highlight its size" as he said with a big smile.
After that he started on a smaller design on my wife's hip: a cute young horse in various grey tones. When looking for a design for my wife I found on the web a beautiful detail of a celtic jewellery piece. It showed three horses in a circle, I copied one of the horses on a sheet and had it blown up a bit to put on a stencil. It looks really sexy and peeks just under my wife's bikini pants.
I always felt that my pin-up was a bit lost on my thigh. So after some consideration I decided to have more work done to give the design some background. I made an appointment with a studio, a different one as the tattooist has left Europe. A friend had done some work at Diablo in Esch-Alzette in Luxembourg and I think they do a good job, so my new addition was going to be made there. To surprise my wife I picked a date when I would be on a few days business trip just before her birthday. I felt an old-school theme with skull and roses would really give the girlie something spicy. The skull would be placed slightly smaller in greyscale behind the pin-up. The roses and other flowers would be tattooed in full color. The lady tattooist had made a design of which I had to let her change a few bits. Her skull had a big sticking out jar and pointy teeth. they needed rounding. The lady had two red roses in her design: one behind the pin-ups hair and another bigger one below her legs. As if the girlie was sitting on a rose, I felt the roses would be to dominant in the design and omitted the biggest one. I had thought about giving the pin-up a little horse tattoo in blue tones on her hip, but somehow being at the studio I felt that the lady was not fully confident to get it right and I didn't want to risk a good design.
After two and a half hour the tattooing was done and I must admit that it seemed to be more painful than the first time. I drove to my destination and when I got there my jeans were covered in blood. I managed to take good care for it and after four days I went back home. It was late in the evening and I managed to slip in bed without my wife noticing any. The next morning on her birthday I told her I had some flowers for her and she could find them in the bedroom. The looked round and didn't see any, I then pulled the blanket away and pointed at the newly decorated girlie next to my straight member...
