i woke up this morning in a really good mood. made some coffee and headed out to the front porch with rex, my cat. i was trying to take a picture of a leaf on one of my plants sitting on the ledge when all of a sudden rex jumpped to the roof of the apartment below. i live in the upper unit of a tri-plex, there are three units 2 in the back(1 on top of the other) and 1 in the front.

 i threw my phone down and pushed away the plants blocking me from getting up, hopped on top of the ledge down to the roof and ran after him. wow, its not the first time he has done that, but every time he does i get so scared hes just going to keep running and fall off the roof. usually he stops to look at me as though he knows he is doing something wrong and is just waiting for me to grab him. thats what he did today. i feel bad for the people below having to listen to me stomp on their roof, i bet it was loud.

that was the start to my rocky day that has ended. now after work all i want is to relax and be comfortable. seems like it is with in reach but at the same time just past my fingertips.

went to the eye doctor the other day and was told i have glaucoma. hmmm, at 30 i have what cute little grandmas and grandpas get. while i am waiting for my new glasses i decided to do some research on what my doctor said. shouldn't have done that. the thought of having surgery on them and having to watch it...all i can say is ugh, someone better knock me out.

 hopefully the ophthalmologist will be able to walk me through everything. now all i have to do is find a good one. wish me luck and i welcome any advice from anyone.

now for some good news, i am going home for thanksgiving! sooo excited! my family and i really don't have much in common, there are a few things, i miss them all so much. it was after moving i realized many things i wish i saw while living in the same state as them. also the death of my father brought us all closer then we had ever been. even with his death, if i didn't move so far away would they still be as loving as they are now. i know the answer to that, its yes. they were always there for me in their own way. i just didn't see it until i left. so i guess that saying is true, you really don't know what you have till its gone(or in my case till your on the other side of the country).

today was my day off and instead of cleaning the place from top to bottom(my normal rutine) i went to a local thrift store. my second job requires a khaki with black uniform and the shirt has to have a collar...my wordrobe was lacking the khaki and collar part. shopping for clothes is one of my least favorite things to do when i have to. it means i get out the sewing machine when i get home to take things in and shorten the lengths. i forgot how much i enjoy sewing. after that came a bike ride where i ran over a thorn. as my tire is losing air i make my way home so i can fix it....i made it worse. fixing stuff is off limits to me now, i am grounded. but it was a great ride!

well, i did what i set out to do and got myself a second job. i'm really excited to start and super excited to meet new people.

i have been on bme for some 12 years now...and it seems like everyone is disapearing....mybe its just me...anyway its almost time for a scary movie! yay!
