"There is no coming to consciousness without pain"
Well, I just got here. That's not really true anymore, but all this still feels new and exploration-worthy to me.
I'm not really good with this whole 'talk about myself' affair, so if you'd want to know what, why and how I got into all of this, please read the story of my personal ascension.
I definitely seem to have developed a passion for body suspension. And because this community seems to be THE place to be to live that passion, I decided to join your little world here. I want to learn as much as I can about it.
No Forum - but I like getting messages. And don't be afraid of the tracking thingie; it doesn't bite.

IAM Anahata sent me a few pictures of my resurrection suspension. Thanks!
What strikes me as odd is that serene facial expression, which, let me tell you, doesn´t really reflect the pain.
Trying to drink a cup of water isn´t an easy task any more when you have to maneuver around the rigging :-)
And I wonder if I could submit the last shot to BME, in the "navel piercing" section ;) ... hmm...

I've finally done what I wanted all along - and did a resurrection suspension at the New Year`s suspension meeting in Holland. It`s been a great experience: extremely intense and brutally painful, but equally enlightening. I now know that I`m really able to 'let go'. All in all, it was worth everything.
Thanks to everybody who made that possible! I really have enjoyed the atmosphere at the gathering and met some great people there. I hope to be back next year.
Oh, and I got to go from "mortally afraid of these hooks" three months ago to "So, that`s actually the first ever time you´re going to shove a giant needle in someone`s body? - be my guest" in two sittings. Now, that`s what I`d call an effective therapy :-)
And I`ve learned another thing: Never ever I`ll do something stupid "just for show" again. When you have six hooks in your upper torso already restricting breathing, it`s kind of a bad idea to have a seventh one in the center of your belly as that one will make correct breathing virtually impossible...

"Come on in! It's nice in here!" - well, that certainly is true.
Thanks everybody for the welcome and the feedback.
I`d never imagined that there would be so much interest in my experience, which has been read by so many of you. And having your first ever submission put on the main page - well, that certainly feels nice.
