This is a last resort tool to block individual users or groups of users, from viewing your page by blocking their ISP or IP address. It should not be used except in the event of an emergency. If a user is harassing you or damaging your experience on IAM, please report them to the TOS Panel.
Enter in the information for the users that you want to block. Be careful with the information that you enter in as you could not only block the person that you want to but also other users. The best way to block a specific individual is by entering their specific IP address. If you don't now their address, the next step would be to block their ISP. This will also block any other user that uses their ISP. If you block a very popular ISP, you will block a very large portion of users.
We strongly suggest that you use the function to block a user by their IAM user name instead of by their ISP. This is a last resort. Please do the responsible thing and report harassment to the TOS Panel. IAM is a safe space and everyone should feel safe in this community.
As BME has been around since 1994, our members have used multiple email addresses over that time. We've always associated the email address that made the submissions as the "owner" of the content that was submitted. With the launch of the new BME galleries, we've made it so that users can manage their current and past submissions to BME with one account instead of the multiple accounts that used to be generated with each new submission. In order to merge the multiple accounts with different email addresses, we've made it so that users can "claim" an email address and add it to their account. The email address that you set as your "primary email address" will be what is associated with new content that you submit to BME as well as your IAM page.
In order to verify that all of your older content has been merged into the new account, please enter any email addresses that you may have used to submit to BME. The best thing to do is to enter in ANY email address you have ever used in the past. You never know if you accidentally submitted something to BME under that email address. Don't worry about trying too many email addresses. If the system can find it, it will send you a confirmation email. Follow the directions in the email to verify your ownership of the email address and the associated submissions.
Don't worry If you don't have access to the email address anymore, please contact [email protected] to address that issue!
You can easily change the information BME displays to other users.
Check the boxes to display your email address, location or date of birth.

You can transfer your IAM access to another user; if you do this, you will no longer have your full IAM access, so proceed with caution!
Our private messaging system allows you to send messages to users on IAM without giving out your email address or other personal information.
Your inbox currently contains all of the messages that were stored in your old IAM inbox and outbox. We are working on importing the archived messages from the original IAM. They have not been deleted and no data will be deleted off of the old site.
We are still working on completing the messaging system. There will be better storage of your IAM messages so that it's easier to access. There will be a better indication of new messages and you will be able to send photos through messages. Please give us time as we're working very hard on all of this.

Media is the core of IAM. You can upload pictures, videos and stories, and share these with other uesrs on both IAM and BME.

The title above the photo indicates where the photo is located. This is typically the name of a forum on IAM. If it is a six character random name, that means it's from your journal entries. Or if it is from your submissions to BME then it will have the title of the gallery on BME that it is located in.

Customizing the rest of your page: Editing your theme is easier than ever. Once you click in the field that you want to change, a "color picker" will open and help you select the color that you like. You can also browse web safe HEX color codes by clicking here. The color chart will open in a new window.
To enter your color choices manually, please make sure to use the # sign followed by the 6 character code. Once you've correctly entered a color core, the field will change to the corresponding code's color.
Here is what the "color picker" looks like:
We're still working out a couple of bugs that occur when you manually enter in the color codes. It doesn't consistently make the changes to your IAM theme. When you use the "color picker", the changes that you make will take effect. We are working on fixing this.
You can slide the sliders up and down to get the various colosr that you're looking for. Then select the color in the large box on the left. The color on the left of the two identical sized boxes on the right half of the "color picker" is the color that you are selecting. Click on the colorful circle on the bottom right side and the color code will appear in the field that you were editing. It will also change the color of that field to the color that you have selected.
To change the color or restore the default, delete the code from the field you want to change. The field will retain the color of the deleted code until you save visual theme.
